Our Story

Ovis was born on Fårö, a small island in the Baltic Sea, known for its rugged coastline, open landscapes and the sheep that roam freely across the island. The name OVIS comes from the Latin word for sheep — a tribute to the place where everything began.

Founded by Peter Sjöholm, who grew up on Fårö, the brand is rooted in a childhood spent by the sea, surfing, skating and finding inspiration in the island's raw nature and slower pace of life.

Ovis is a way of bringing a piece of Fårö with us. The landscape, the colours, the feeling of freedom and the simplicity of island life continue to shape everything we create.
